Irina Gimena is the owner of Ascend Forward Consulting and Counseling. Irina is a licensed clinical social worker, a certified alcohol and drug counselor, and a board certified care manager. She also holds her PEL school social worker certificate for k-12. Irina is a prominent clinician and Clinical Director in the Chicago area, known for her work in mental health, focusing on anxiety, ADHD, and life changes. Irina serves as the Clinical Director at Serengeti Wellness and Smart Behavior Solutions, where she supervises their pre-licensed clinicians.

Irina is a Clinical Supervisor with 17 years of experience in the field of mental health and social work, working with a wide range of clients in a variety of settings. Through the years, Irina has worked in residential treatment, schools, hospitals, and private practice. Irina is a Dominican University graduate with a Master’s degree in social work.
